ADMISSIONS

ADMMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

I. FOUNDATION YEAR PROGRAMMES

The Foundation programme is for candidates who do not possess the prerequisite qualifications into degree programmes and the required JAMB scores. The programme covers 12 calendar months. During this period, the candidates would be prepared to make up their deficiencies in O -Level subjects to make up in both WAEC or NECO and JAMB. The student will also be actively involved in any sport of his or her interests.


II. DEGREE PROGRAMMES

The admission requirements to the University degree programmes varies among the different faculties. For undergraduate programmes the candidate is required to have at least five (5) credits in subjects such as Mathematics, English Language and any other three subjects relevant to the course of study. The candidate must have also passed the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Potential certifications will be awarded in Coaching, Officiating and other areas in conjunction with the relevant International Awarding Bodies.


III DIPLOMA AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES


HIGH PERFORMANCE CENTRE AND SPORT LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

All candidates applying to any of the programmes of the Sports University are expected to undergo an intensive trial exercise for one week on the campus in any sports of interest to display latent potential in the sport. The candidate must possess a considerable high potential in the sport to get admitted into the University despite the academic standing of the Candidate. The available sports include; Soccer, Athletics (track and fields), Basketball, Volley ball, Badminton, Lawn tennis, Taekwondo, Judo, Gymnastics, Golf, Table tennis, Cycling, Hockey, Boxing, Wrestling, Swimming and Weight lifting.
